At Sandia Montessori School we are proud to give children an opportunity to be in an environment where there are no limits. In this level your child will be able to:
Language: Develop and expand their language skills with the goals and completion of their reading skills and the development of their comprehension skills.

Math: Continue the development and expansion of their counting, addition, subtraction, understanding of fractions, the ability to write in equation form by hand manipulation previously.

Extracurricular: Continuation of all Extracurricular areas as well as the beginnings of science; especially Earth Science.

Life Skills: At this level we will only need to either complete a few areas such as shoe lace tying and small button holing etc, or provide gentle reminders of their earlier completed skills.

Focus and Attention Skills: If a new child is entering we will need to expose this child to all attention skills needed or if a child is continuing we assist this child being able to increase their duration of their focusing abilities.
In summary, we have seen our kindergarten children by the end of the year are able to: read, write, increase comprehension, be able to write in paragraph form, do Elementary level Mathematics, and be self controlled like a 3rd to 5th grader. This has always been an amazing experience for both the entire staff, parents, and of course our children.
