This is the level wherein the basic daily Montessori procedures truly benefit each student. There is an enormous amount of freedom and respect that allows each child to develop to their maximum potential that can not be obtained anywhere but at a fine Montessori school. Your student will be completely known by his teachers. They will know how he/she learns and what your student finds interesting, enjoyable, or fun (the keys to your child's learning). Your student will not be put down for their mistakes, but encouraged to try other ways to learn and to have an attitude of trying again. Our students are not compared to each other be they a genius or struggling with a subject. They will never be encouraged to speed up nor to slow to keep pace with other students as they will settle into their own learning speed as needed. These varying speeds actually results in a much more advanced over all learning as it is more natural. Of course, they will never have a teacher "preaching" at the front of the room which is boring and assuming all students to be identical, but they will have their teachers observing and interacting amongst them. This is an ideal environment for your 1st through 5th grader.
